At the national literary competition "Drinking the Territory" Antonio Ricci was awarded for saving Villa della PergolaOn Saturday 28 September at the Grinzane Cavour castle in Piedmont, in the Sala delle Maschere, Antonio Ricci obtained an award which aims to "reward important figures of Italian culture who can be a point of reference for younger people or witnesses of a particular relationship with identity of places and of the material civilization that characterizes them".
The competition, now in its 23rd edition, has the subtitle "Telling wine through a journey - Story, research, sustainability" and is promoted by the Go Wine association on the occasion of Vinitaly 2024.
Ricci was awarded "not only for his very free, cheerful, often corrosive commitment to Mediaset" but above all “for having saved the architectural-naturalistic site of Villa della Pergola from building speculation and at the highest level of beauty”.
At the award ceremony, the author and screenwriter joked but above all expressed his pleasure in being able to discuss the project carried out in Alassio, underlining the decisive role played by his wife Silvia Arnaud in the rescue and subsequent recovery of the Villas and Gardens.
